Desktop PC and Laptop Requests
General Information
Kaiser Permanente leases all desktop PCs and laptops. At the conclusion of the lease, equipment is tech refreshed (upgraded to a new device) by Kaiser Permanente Information Technology. Desktop PCs are refreshed with new equipment every four years, laptops every three.
Desktop PCs and laptops are Service Area resources and all new device leases are procured utilizing Capital funds. As a result, departments are not charged for these devices. All requests for desktop PCs and laptops are reviewed by the "IT Oversight Committee" for approval.
